Andy Wright

Vice President Global Health Programmes, GlaxoSmithKline

Since joining GlaxoSmithKline in 1994, Andy Wright has worked on global supply chain programmes and IT projects before moving on to global public health initiatives in 2000. Wright currently leads GSK’s portfolio of public health programmes in the developing world, managing donations of products and grants to improve the lives of people living in the world’s poorest communities. The programmes include: the donation of albendazole for de-worming of school age children, donation of albendazole for the global elimination of lymphatic filariasis, products and grants for humanitarian response, training of healthcare workers and a range of partnerships with NGOs. Wright has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Project Management.
